The Pendragon Browser consists of a desktop computer software and a browser for the Palm. The desktop software retrieves HTML pages and graphics, compresses and stores them. The browser in the Palm can browse the off-line pages which have been downloaded during the synchronisation. On-line requests are supported in case of the Palm VII organizer using its Web Clipping engine.
The Pendragon Browser 2.0 WWW browser supports the following additional features:
Supports use of cookies created by Internet Explorer or Netscape 4.x. Session level cookies are also supported (non-permanent cookies that are created during a download session and are discarded after the pages are downloaded).
The forms can be filled in off-line. The submissions are stored on the desktop during synchronisation. They are uploaded from the desktop to the WWW server during the next scheduled Internet connection session.
